Azerbaijan's cultural heritage, synthesising various sources of ancient Turkish, Greek, Indian, Arab, Chinese and other civilisations, is not only a bridge between Europe and Asia, but also an intersection of various scientific and artistic disciplines. This is evidenced by the works of such ancient Azerbaijani thinkers as Nizami Ganjavi, Imadaddin Nasimi, etc., who combined poetry with philosophy and exact sciences in their writings. For today's narrowly specialised education, the renewal of such an approach would give perspective to the beginning of a new renaissance in the context of a globalised world.
